Crohns treatment in Crete

Hi, I have just been diagnosed with Crohns but am buying a second home in Crete and moving there in a few years time. Does any one have any experience about treatment in Crete? I am worried that this diagnosis will now ruin my future plans!

That sucks. Any chance you could contact the hospitals out there? I've never been nor have I heard of any info so I'd suggest some phone calls. Using google maps, it looks like there are a good number of hospitals out there but I can't read any of it. D:

Crete is a really nice place to get a second home, funnily enough it was my last holiday before being diagnosed - i was diagnosed a couple of weeks after i came back so was probably at my most ill out there, although i dont have any experience of medical treatment there, im fairly confident there are decent enough doctors on the island.

Thanks everyone. I have been on an expat site which has given me the name of a crohns specialist in Crete. I have e-mailed him and hopefully that will give me some more information. Interestingly enough the message that i get from the expat forum says that the level of care is much higher than the NHS so hopefully my initial fears of having a recent crohns diagnosis will not spoil my plans for the future. Crete feels more like home to us now and the only reason we are still in the UK is to see our children through their education . Thanks everyone.
