Watch this video
Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead
"100 pounds overweight, loaded up on steroids and suffering from a debilitating autoimmune disease, Joe Cross is at the end of his rope and the end of his hope."

Depends alot on your health and your weight.
The guy in the video had lots of fat to use as energy.
Go for vegetable juice over fruit, more nutrients and less sugar

I think the reason it works is because you are not consuming -
Grains, Sugar, Vegetable oils

I'd agree with Hugh on veg juicing. I'm flaring now and lots of fruit juice irritated me. I seem to be ok on veg juice.

Too much carrot juice will make your palms and soles go orange (how do i know that? - experience ) but it's a great base for vegie juice, Add Kale and other greens. I love adding beetroot juice but i have breaks from it to make sure my poo is a healthy colour
I'd recommend a paleo diet, (but what do i know? - works for me )
juicing can be a part of that but it's more about what you don't eat.

This one is about tweaking paleo for autoimmune (search the forum for paleo but the wiki is a bit sad)

This one is about leaky gut, what makes it worse and what helps

i don't know but the eassiest way to find out is to stop the Carrot juice for a couple of days.

Seriously though, check out paleo, or any of the other diets that avoid grain, legumes, sugar and vegetable oil and see how you go
