Is there any substitute of Wheat flour and rice in SCD

Hi, I am deepak from India suffering from ulcerative colitis for 18 years. I came to know about SCD diet. As I am living in India, Wheat flour bread and rice are main foods. I am very weak and fibre sensitive. If i leave wheat flour and rice, will be very difficult for me to survive. I cant tolerate meat mutton and chicken. Is there any substitute of wheat and rice in scd so that i can at least survive. I will be grateful if anyone can help me in this matter.

Hello. I googled some stuff and hopefully this can help you

Rice-mock mashed potatoes (cauliflower) edit:I don't know if cauliflower has fibre or not though

I read for flour on another post here coconut flour (again don't know if it has fibre or not)

Wheat nothing came up sadly

I'm not on an SCD diet so I can't confirm if these work. And I myself can't eat cauliflower.

Hopefully this post helps you out

SCD is basically meat and veg, with some fruit and nuts
- there are lots of recipes with nut flours instead of grain and they make good cakes but average breads.
- maybe paleo would be easier, you can eat tubers (sweet potato, yams, plantain, but be careful of potatoes)

- there is a bit of support for the theory that white rice is ok, while wheat and corn are very bad, and all other grains are in between, so maybe if you are having trouble conforming you can eat rice and avoid all other grains?......

maybe (and only maybe) you can start with the PerfectHealthDiet[1], move to paleo if it isn't enough, and then work through the list (attached) [2] till you hit a regime the works for you
