I just feel like giving up :(

Well I'm still in the same flare as I was 6 months ago, as usual I have no energy and many other symptoms that come with this disease, I'm struggling at home as my mum and nan are telling me to do a load of house chores which I don't mind doing but it's just finding and having the energy to do them my nan and mum and granddad all nag at me to go and do this and go and do that, so I do them but even doing a small job like making tea just exhausts me then my mum or my nan just have a go at me for nothing they just don't understand I can't do it all in one go , my family should understand it by now only because my mum was the one that was by my side at age 3 when I was first diagnosed and throughout everything that happened and my nan pretty much saved my life when I was 14 I've died a few times throughout my life so surely they should understand by now??

I also owe some work to my boss which is hard when your in pain and have no energy, I have been doing it but in bits at a time my mum has a go at me for barely doing anything I can't cope anymore I do things around the house and also my work but I can't process it all in one go. I'm have currently been off work for about 8 weeks due to an operation I had on my elbow and now I'm having physiotherapy on it to get it to bend.

My doctors are just useless I did ring in telling my doctor about what is going on but to me he doesn't seem interested and just told me to "wait it out" I have tried to change to a different doctor but they just said that I couldn't, so now I'm stuck with him, I'm in pain and my doctor is stupid great that really doesn't go I going to try again but after Christmas.

I'm also depressed and I have autism so it's even harder to get people to understand, my Crohn's really isn't doing good at the moment I think that Aza has stopped working but when I mentioned it to my doctor he did nothing about he just told me to "carry on taking it" like as if he doesn't care what happens, I'm constantly falling out with my family They just don't understand me Which is why I just want to give up

And right now I don't even want to think or see Christmas it's just depressing

Sorry for such a depressing message

I'm so sorry about that dear! I wish I could give your doctor a piece of my mind. I know it gets so tiring and just plain old to keep fighting and dealing with this crap everyday. But we have to hold onto the hope that one day, things will be better. It may not seem like it, but I know this is true. You will get out of this flare and feel better. Hang in there, and don't give up now. I hope you have a very good Christmas, I will be thinking of you.

Hi there just noticed your post and had to reply.
I hope things are a little better for you now...It's not easy when you feel so unwell and people just seem to keep picking on you.
I too had a bad experience with my doctor regarding my symptoms. Mine was also a dipstick completely clueless.
I changed doctor and was best move I ever made, I've finally been diagnosed and on medication, omeprazole, pentasa, buscopan and iron supplements.
Still early days.. I hope your feeling a little more upbeat. from one horse lover to another.
If you ever need to vent or chat please contact me anytime Steph

I hope you're feeling better! I too went thru Christmas experiencing a flare up (thats still going on) & I can totally sympathize with the way you feel...no energy, weak...and people expecting certain things from you that you're just not feeling up for. I'm pretty new to Crohn's & still learning but I guess we can only take one day at a time. I'm sure I wasn't much help to you but I just wanted you to know your post jumped out to me; I guess we all feel like that at some time or another but please don't ever give up...you're worth it!

I feel your pain sweetie. I have been in pain now for 7 months (a "flare" because not diagnosed yet) and I have been waiting and waiting. Took me like 2 months to see a surgeon about a scpe to be told to have a CT done first which took another month and a half to wait for. The CT basically showed nothing, so I was sent back to the surgeon (another 3 week wait) to be told by him I need to see a GI specialist. That was beggining of December, still waiting to even get an appointment with the GI, when I do get the call will probably be a 3-6 month wait I hope you are feeling better sweetie. We are here for you
