New therapy for crohn's targets AIEC(Adherent Invasive E. Coli).

Adherent invasive e. coli is another suspected pathogen involved in crohn's disease similar to suspected MAP pathogen. These bacteria seem to be able to enhance inflammatory response so inhibiting their growth could also lower inflammation.

Honestly, the more I read about the SSI Vaccine for AIEC, I think this can actually be a big part of the cure. If the immune systems starts to act abnormally because of an infection, clearing that infection by letting the body attack it through these injections, should in theory put the person back in the state they were before the Crohn's onset...
