Does anyone love their GI in IL? We're looking to change but need to find a better replacement, preferably a female because J only talks to lady doctors.

Which part of Illinois? I'm in Chicago and we love our peds GI practice. They are literally the best in Chicago. The group is called The Center for Children's Digestive Health. They have several offices in the Chicagoland area. They are really well organized and fantastic. I highly recommend them.

We looked at the one ChicagoMom is mentioning. The rating and review were very good.

Grace see's a Female GI at Devos down state in Michigan but that would be to far.:(

ChicagoMom, thanks for that info. We live 2 hours from Chicagoland, but would be willing to make the drive for a good peds GI. Which location do you use? Jae is more comfortable with female docs. We're hoping for a female. Also, which location would be easiest to get to from western I-80?

Thanks,
Carol

The Maywood and Oakbrook Terrace locations are the furthest south, closest to I-80, so those would probably be the best for you. The others are all north or northwest of downtown Chicago (or in downtown). Hoffman Estates and Park Ridge are pretty much right off of major highways, if you ended up needing to go to to a different office. Park Ridge is their main location, right next to Lutheran General hospital.

We see one of the male docs, but we've also see Dr. Gorla, and we loved her. We actually considered switching to her and we may as L gets older, if she finds she prefers a female doc as well. Dr. Gorla is very spunky and energetic and proactive, which I liked. We've also met Dr. Garcia-Alvarez, and she seemed nice as well. I really have been pleased with everyone I've dealt with at this practice. Their IBD coordinator is the best! My only complaint is that their receptionists talk way too fast on the phone.

Good luck! I hope you find someone you all like.
