any ideas?

so im in the last 2 weeks of highschool and am stressing out majorly because of all the exams and i need to pass to have enugh credits to graduate! ive missed a lot of time my sophmore year i had a surgery and ive been in the hospital so many times trying to get my cd undercontrol once i was diagnosed with it. but here is my problem...i am curently having a flair a pretty bad one because my mom had some prednisone and had me start it but im still having A LOT of pain im sleeping sitting up bent over my pillow and thats now making my back hurt. i would go to the hospital but they will just poke me with ivs and then tell me what i already know, that im iin a flair and need to take pred but im already taking it 40mg a day then was going to taper but the pain is to bad and is coming thru the pred. i cant afford to go to the hospital because if they do admit me i cannot miss that much time for school with the exams and everything. so im stuck. does anyone have any ideas that may help with the pain or any of the symptoms? i called both my drs but theyre booked and wont be able to see me. my friend gave me some vikodin(sp?) but i dont want to take them because they make it so i can focus on my school work and i have no idea what to do i would take ibuprofen but im not supposed to and ive tried tylenol but that doesnt seem to help eather...idk i guess ill tuff it out for the last 9 days of school. sorry to vent but i started typing and it just came out lol

just like pen said, dont take ibuprofen. its bad news for crohns.
a heating pad usually felt nice on my tum.

maybe see if there is a pain management specialist in your area. hopefully they would be able to see you sooner than your gi.
they can help you find a drug that will help you get through the day without knocking you out or disrupting your focus, etc.

have been thinking of looking for one myself, as ive been on percs since mid march and the docs (and me) are getting worried about addiciton. but if i dont take them im in tears from the pain.

pain specialists should be able to help with this kind of thing.

i know what you mean about stressing over school, believe me, at 19 now, those memories are fresh in my mind. but in the long run, YOU are the most important. if you have to work something out and finish your credits over the summer, so be it.
i missed at least half of my senior year, not in a row, but cumulatively.
it can be done. i promise.

also let your guidance dept or school counselours know whats going on, that way it wont be a suprise should you ask for an extension or something.
