Advice please

Hello all
I have crohns well last year I started having problems , horrible pain had a colonoscopy and found out I had a blockage from scar tissue from previous surgery. And found out I was was having gallbladder attacks, so we ( me and my doctor decided surgery was in my future. So April 13 th this year I had surgery. My surgeon went in and found a lot of scar tissue so I lost the ascending part of my colon and gallbladder. So 8 months after surgery I am still having diarrhea and having blood with the diarrhea, when I wipe I am having blood clots and filling the toilet with a red color like I am dripping in the toilet. What do you guys think about the blood ? It is not dark in color but a little scary. I haven’t really felt good at all since the surgery, always feel like stomach is yucky and nauseous.
Thanks
Karen

Hello Karcos....welcome to the forum
Your system is sounding alarm bells with all the blood loss you are reporting...not a good sign.
You need to see your specialists as soon as possible....maybe you should go to emergency.
Feel better soon

I'm no expert on anything so I'd just advise talking to your doctor about the bleeding. All I know is that brighter red blood indicates it isn't travelling far to leave your body, if the blood is darker it's coming from further up.
Blood loss is my main symptom, after colonoscopy I'm still waiting to find out the cause of this myself.

Tynemouth,
I have this on occasion and a course of Prednisolone (steroids) usually clears it up.
Please don't ignore it as it could become serious.

I have had 4 surgeries I don't believe it has anything to do with yours I would have to agree with another poster that said you have active disease and if it's bleeding it's quite inflamed. I would call my gastro to get an appointment right away.

Thank you so much for the responses, I called doc yesterday have a appt next week.
I’m thinking my disease my be active also, I have never had the bleeding part that can come with crohns sometimes. So my husband was suggesting maybe I have a hemiroid but can they come from diahrea ? Never been constipated .
Thank you
Karen

Im glad you will see your doctor very soon. hemorrhoids can cause blood, but blood clots as you express them and the amount and repetition of diarrhea episodes you describe and experiment most likely represent a CD flare.
