This is a theory but you know how those buff guys have veins popping out of their arms. Well what if we do some dumbbell exercises? Would this make our veins bigger and easier for nurses to poke us for blood tests and IV.
Pick one, nurse :rof:This is a theory but you know how those buff guys have veins popping out of their arms. Well what if we do some dumbbell exercises? Would this make our veins bigger and easier for nurses to poke us for blood tests and IV.
I'm almost certain guys who are that vascular likely break IV equipment and syringes! Too much pressure! :rof::eek2:Hahaha. I don't want to look like that but yea he is a nurses dream.
Damn. Was it a lack of fluid/electrolyte intake or an absorption issue?I have been hospitalized for the better part of the last 2 months. Dehydration and electrolyte loss nearly killed my kidneys.
I'm sorry to hear that. What kinds of supplemental fluids are you taking?Vegan,
I was losing electrolytes and fluid faster than I could take them in. It started as a stomach virus and ended with 30 bowel movements or more a day.
I have short bowel syndrome, though no ostomy and have always had to watch out for stomach viruses and such. I usually end up taking supplemental fluids when virus hits.

Vascularity ( the condition of having many highly visible, prominent and often extensively ramified superficial veins- wikipedia ).This is a theory but you know how those buff guys have veins popping out of their arms. or take nitric oxideWhile counter intuitive, most body builders stop drinking liquids to dehydrate themselves slightly. This causes the skin to tighten and because of the lack of fat it tightens the skin, the muscles bulge and veins pop. But that only works with the low body fat.
