Ostomy poem

Ostomy

A poem by Gutless Wonder (written back in the 1990's while I recovering from another surgery)

I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as an ostomy.

A bag whose plastic is securely pressed
Against my abdomen while I get dressed.

An ostomy that works all day,
And doesn't get blocked up, dear God I pray.

An ostomy that in summer will wear,
And not leak, smell, and have people stare.

Upon an ostomate it has lain,
Who doesn't have to live in pain.

Poems are made by Crohnies like me,
But only God can make an ostomy.

proud to say mine was made in the USA!!! (dedicated to all crohnies on this board who have ileostomies & colostomies to save their lives)

It's A Crohnie's World
By: Gutless Wonder

It's a world of hospitals, a world of fears,
It's a world of tests, it's a world of tears
There is so much we endure
That it's time for a cure
It's a crohnie's world after all

It's a crohnie's world after all
It's a crohnie's world after all
It's a crohnie's world after all
Yes, it's a crohnie's world

We get to moon our doctors and show our buns
Just to prove that they're special and not just anyone
Though at times we have cried
Our pain can't be denied
It's a crohnie's world after all

It's a crohnie's world after all
It's a crohnie's world after all
It's a crohnie's world after all
Yes, it's is crohni'es world

(dedicated to all the bagless Crohnies on this board. I didn't forget about you guys!!! CROHNIES RULE!!!)

Thank you everyone for your compliments. This is one of my hobbies that I do in my spare time when I don't feel well. I write about how I feel when I'm waiting for the pain medication to kick in or if I'm recovering from surgery.

My wish for 2010 is for everyone to be in 100% remission forever with NO PAIN. We deserve it!!!! yes we do.
