Peachy :)

Hi, I'm waiting on a scope & ct scan to hopefully get a full dx and some medicine to help at last! I suffer RHS abdo pain, which has been my main symptom for years, but lately I have more pain, the need to go to the powder room lots, blood loss (only a little) but the worst things are feeling constantly sick and so very tired. My life just got turned upside down.

I'm very scared of my tests coming back clear, as I know that I'm ill, and want a name for things so that I can relax and concentrate on looking after myself and my family without having to apologise for being so tired and useless all the time!

So far, over 15 odd years, my pain has been dx as ibs, endo, a blip in my ovary, and more recently just that I'm a women :mad2: and that I'm depressed/ its in my head! Some people are so clueless lol. An old skool GP who I hadn't seen at my practice before referred me straight to the specialist at the hospital as soon as he saw my notes  Crohns 'early stages' has been mentioned, so we will see,

So glad to have found you all here, and want to wish you all the best, some of you are so very poorly.

Peachy (not so today, in bed with dehydration after a 24hr sickfest) xx

Hi Peachy, are you a fellow Brit by any chance? Sorry to hear you're not well! Get some fluids down you and rest! We have an undiagnosed club thread on here (think it's in the support forum?), so you will see there are others in the same boat. At least you are seeing a specialist now. What tests have you had done before?

Hi Peachy and :welcome:

I'm glad you found your way here. As Rebecca said, unfortunately lots of people in the undiagnosed club that have been through similar experiences to you. :( Mind you I reckon most of the diagnosed have too! Seems to be the case here that if you are diagnosed quickly that is the rarity.

I hope your test results show something, normal results are not uncommon either, but if not keep fighting. You know you best so don't give up! Please stick around and keep us posted. Good luck and welcome aboard!

Take care, :)
Dusty

Morning,

Thank you for a lovely warm welcome! Yes I am a fellow Brit Rebecca :) Its interesting to see such a mix on the board, yet so many of the dx stories are so similar! I spent the day in bed getting my oomph back, and now off to work as I'm scared of giving in to feeling unwell! It was a sharp learning curve of what I can and cant do anymore - red wine 'and' chilli, mild or not, is very clearly a no! Thank you for your message!

I have so far had bloods (one set 18 mths or so ago wehen I wasn't so poorly, then some a few weeks ago) a laparoscopy and a barium enema, which both came back clear, although they said my bowel wasn't clear for the barium and I can't have taken the prep properly!! I don't think you can do much more than take the stuff, not eat and drink lots of fluids ;)

Hi Astra :) Thank you for your welcome!! I'm glad you finally got your dx - I read recently that it's so hard to get recognised with this because its such a rare thing! Thats some sort of unique to be ;~) lol

Hi DustyKat - you look really familiar and I cant quite place it, I will have to PM you a couple of ideas and see if our paths have crossed at some point in the past!

Thank you all for your support & hellos!! It's lovely to meet you all and I will see you on the boards I hope!

Peachy (off to work, I go, oh no!) xx
