Default Fistulas in crohns - management

Just thought I would share this thread with you all as there are plenty of us that suffer with the dreaded fistulas. Its nice to know that my GI followed the recommendations on how to manage fistulas, I find that very reassuring.

Thank you Ruth, I was able to read it fine. I wanted to add if people could also take a moment to read up on the differences between fissures and fistulas wikipedia has great info on the topic. I've noticed many posts where people use the wrong word...sorry just a pet peve..don't yell at me..

en.wikipedia.org

I looked up anal fissures and just fisulas and they had alot of info.

thanks!

mmm interesting. I suppose in different countries they are called different things. I understand that if you have several fistulas they should be referred to as fissures but even thought this is what I have, my GI has always said I have multiple fistulas.

And upon further reading, I definately had multiple fistulas and not fissures. There seems to be some real confusion over this. I was told on this site that multiple fistulas are called fissures, but that is not always the case. Thanks for the info though.
