Allergic to Opiates; Surgery Soon. Please help.

Hello.

My girlfriend is about to have surgery on her esophagus and intestines. Unfortunately she highly allergic to all opiates, sulfas, and antibiotics.

Could someone please recommend a pain reliever that she will actually be able to take? Doctors have been surprisingly unhelpful with our search.

I realize that this information may already be in this site somewhere, but this will be faster and easier if someone can point me in the right direction first.

This is my first time on this site and I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help offered.

It may be worth looking on the Wikipedia site, other than that I suggest you speak to a pharmascist or chemist as they will probably be more help than your doctor where drugs are concerned.
