Me

me

Was at job corps in 2001. Started having pain in the lower abdomen near the groin. Went to the hospital and was told they saw some raw material. Told me it was burst appendix.

Woke up from surgery three hours later with tubes in me and cut wide open. Had been a rupture of my small bowel. Had to do a eleven inch resection and was in the hospital for three weeks. First time I had ever heard of chrohn's.

That is the back story more specifics on now in another more appropriate forum.

Welcome, Matt. Interestingly, the only person I know in "the real world" with Crohn's went in for an emergency resection, only to discover that instead his appendix had burst. Le whoops.
