oddball question on stem cells

i know probably no one knows--but-if so--my brother and his wife are having a baby in may-and will be saving the cord.
just wondered if anyone else has heard of any good "banks" that are less pricy-to store the cord (even if i end up never using it-it is good to have for anyone just in case--and i do know it is WAY less pricy to store now) and even the procedure of drawing out the cells from the cord is no longer too expensive.
just-thought i'd ask...
