Methotrexate effectiveness and side effects

Have any any of you been put on Methotrexate for Crohn's ? If so how effective was it and what were the main side effects ?

i have been on it before. unfortunately it did not help me much and the side effects for me were not very cool. it made me very tired and i had nausea for the first couple days after taking the injection. also, it made me have a constant sore throat and i had problems with memory. it even went as far as making me stutter my words and slur them. it is known to cause neurological side effects at very high doses.

however, do not let this get you down. it may be a lifesaver for you and most people don't have the problems i had with it. just remember to get your bloodwork done regularly.
