It sounds like you should go to the hospital, if not for anything but some IV fluids to get you hydraited again. Based on your description though then a visit to the ER will help out a lot. If your anemic enough they may even admit you and get you a colonoscopy asap(better than waiting the month and itll help kickstart you system enough to make you able to tolerate food...)

Oh my how aweful...though I know what you mean. I went to the Er two different times, twice given a CT scan, twice said colitis, twice given meds "thaat wont work" They litterally gave me medicine and litterally said these will not help you. I lost failt in hospitals but the third time I went and was admitted and finally got some sort of treatment(after I was extreamly anemic)

Hmm... I've had a lot of blood in my stool in the past, and have been a little worried but donít think I'll ever need a blood transfusion. I've also got hemochromatosis (too much iron), which also has almost the same exact type of symptoms as most IBD. So thatís been a blast trying to figure out what might be causing my issues. Its really sad when people that are in severe abdominal pain get treated like a drug addicts at hospitals. Its like having multiple colonoscopies, and being toldÖ. We canít find anything, so there must not be anything wrong with your stomach. So just go take some Pepto?????

Hi and welcome! I sure hope you can get in to see a GI soon. Your symptoms don't sound good.

Obviously, you will need to go through a bit of testing to see what's going on. Though it isn't ideal, I do suggest going for a full colonoscopy rather then flex sig as many doctors will suggest. Usually, they will do a flex sig and then after say you need a full colonoscopy. So, bite the bullet and go for the full right up front. It will allow your GI to see your entire colon, so there is little room for question.

Good luck and keep us posted!
