just diagnosed

i have recently been diganosed with crohns two months ago after an upper gi xray showed my elium swelled almost shut i have been on asocol 800 three times a day for a month and my symtoms are worst i have gone two weeks with no medication now same symtoms not very happy right now

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum!
I am on Asacol as well...same dosage in fact.
it is usually given as a maintenance drug when
not in a flair or you are in remission.

Usually Crohn's is not diagnosed with an upper GI test..
I suggest you go back to your doctor and tell him/her
just what you said her...maybe even suggest a colonoscopy.

Keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.

All the best~Nancy :)

cat scan was first, they thought i had kidney stones. then i tested positive with a blood test then colonostopy and finally the barium x ray
