Scott Lee has been a very good doctor for me. When I transitioned from Children Hospital to an adult doctor he made the transition very easy because he made me feel comfortable. His staff of nurses are really kind and helpful. He cares about the well-being of the patient and is very knowledgeable. My only complaint would be that sometimes it is hard to get a hold of the him (the clinic). You have to leave a message and wait for a call back. Sometimes that takes a day or so.

My Support Groups:
Dr Lee has been my savior. I can call his office and have had him personally call me back. I feel he is there for our family above and beyond being just a doctor and worries about me while the doctor I had befor him just saw me as a patient. I have been seeing him now for 7 years and never plan on changing, it is even a 2 hour drive to see him but i would drive longer if need be!!! My husband and I just love him and his nurses Corey and Scott

This was the dr that diagnosed me. We call him Rocket Doc in my family. To get ahold of Dr. Lee you must go through his nurse and I never felt she took the time to actually hear me and understand what I was saying. As a result many of my messages were not clearly conveyed to Dr. Lee and I was repeatedly blocked from getting my issues addressed.

Dr. Lee was very difficult to get in with. When you were in with him, he was always in a rush to get out the door. Even standing with his hand on the doorknob while talking to me.

It was absolutely impossible to get a "sick" appointment at the clinic. I had a PA in Belltown that felt I needed be seen sooner rather than later but they wouldn't give her an appt for me sooner than 3 months! I ended up hospitalized with pericarditis and pleural effusions (side effect from the Humira) within 2 weeks... at VM, the PA actually recommended I go to the ER NOT at UW she was that frustrated and felt my condition was that serious. (She was right.)

My GI specialist said he was unable to help me. That I needed to call in the Calvary. He sent me to Dr Lee. They almost operated (June 2013) too soon. Dr Lee had a gut feeling so he wanted me to be tested before surgery. He recommended I go through medicine therapy (rimacade infusions) first. Now I'm scheduled for surgery (dec 2013) because the inflammation is far less and one area that was blocked is healed. I trust him 100%

I do not recommend this GI.

I was not with Dr Lee long, but he treated me poorly in our very brief first visit, made a wildly inaccurate diagnosis later proven wrong, and then another major mistake which resulted in a miserable trip to the ER vomiting continually for hours. He is also extremely difficult to communicate with. He has so many patients that I had to wait months for an appointment and then had to go through frustrating obstacles just to get a hold of his nurse who would send him an email or just give me unqualified medical advice in his place. I was promised a direct phone call from him after I complained. It took 2 more complaints and 10 days before he finally called me back.
