Prof Eyers is an excellent colorectal surgeon and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

He has a quiet and caring manner and frequently returns to visit patients out of rounds when he has time to sit and chat on a one to one basis. He listens to his patients and is unhurried, he speaks in terms that are easy to understand and has the ability to put people at ease.

He is confident in his knowledge of IBD and this makes him cool and unflappable in stressful situations. He is decisive and has the ability to project where he thinks a patient should be during a course of treatment.

I have had no need to contact him but when the GP has needed to he has always been accessible or returned calls when messages have been left.

Being a surgeon he has always referred ongoing treatment of CD to the GI so I have not had the need to discuss alternative treatments with him.

Rating:
5 / 5 Bedside Manner
5 / 5 Knowledgeable
3 / 5 Open to alternative treatments
5 / 5 Ease of accessibility
