Colonoscopy after resection

colonoscopy after resection

Can a colonoscopy be done after a resection? 10 inches of the terminal ilium was removed and so was the IC valve.

Yes it can. It won't stop them visualising your large bowel or the beginning of what is now your ileum.

Dusty. :)

yes I had one done about 6 months post ileocecal resection, it showed mild inflammation and a couple of ulcers at the surgery site but no active crohns on biopsies so they weren't too concerned.
