Helloo how are you??

hi yall. im neil

diagnosed when i was 16. back in 2002. it took 4 doctors to diagnose me with crohns disease which took a year to work out buy then i had fallen from 11 and a half stone to just under 8 st. from there on i was in and out of hospital having to go through the barium enema process to the colonoscopy examination quite a few times and im sure the people on here know they can be tiresome thing when your pretty ill.

by september 2010 i was rushed to the hospital with severe pains and once again back on the colonoscopy examination which revealed a cyst had grown where the chrohns disease was which was leakin fluid and poisoning my body, three weeks later i was to make a choice which was to have an operation to remove the ileum and another part. september 2011 i visited my specialist who the confirmed the all clear. and now i plan to move to australia and start a new life.

xx

:welcome: Neil! Your diagnosis was almost exactly like mine at 32 years of age! Scary to remember it all. I had a resection at that time because of the same reasons and had looped bowels. The Laproscopic surgery was the best thing I did until... I was in denial and didn't look after myself, I was a rare drinker but smoked... Stupid thing to do but I am here to tell you not to live your disease, just be aware that is there on the back burner. Look after yourself and have a wonderful new life! Nice to meet you!

cheers pen . drink never really bothers me and smokin ive never done thanks to asthma haha. but ive never bin better ive had hell for years now its time to enjoy. eat all the right foods ignore the wrong foods. for the first time in nearly ten years im happy. thanks pen.

Hey, i'm 16 at the moment and was diagnosed a few weeks ago.. Like you i have had tons of scans and colonoscopy's. I had a major operation 2 weeks ago where they removed most of my small bowel and part of my large bowel and connected the healthy parts back together. Since then i've been feeling great, the doctor's just told me today i can be discharged! I'm so happy! I hope you look after yourself well and have a good move! :)

Oh nice choice moving to Australia! What city do you plan on moving to? I'm sure you would love it here, I really couldn't see myself living anywhere else.

hey arron

hope all is well after your operation, i wish i had mine at that age instead i suffered for a good nine years and worked all the way through it day in day out got me down at times. you operation was similar to mine they took a good foot of the bowel out ive never been better. gave me the all clear, now i can have good fun, look after yourself and keep in touch. and dont do to much on your recovery relax and play the ps3 or somethin if ur into that

HEY ZILLA7777

ive bin wanting to go for a while, ive been a few times to sydney and melbourne and loved it. i have family more or less all over, but i would stay with my brother who is civillian there in melbourne my fave place

Wow, you suffered for 9 years! I was only suffering for around 8 weeks before i found it too hard and had to come to A&E.. Obviously shows your very strong minded :) Yeah as soon as they give me my prescription i'll be able to leave the hospital and then i'm just going to go home and play my Xbox 360, sorry PS3 was too expensive when i had to choose a console to buy. :) I'm hoping the recovery process is a lot easier at home than it is in hospital, At home i'll actually be able to relax a little more and eat the foods i like! I hate cheap hospital food! :) We were considering moving to Australia at one point, it's a really beautiful place! We travelled to sydney on holiday to look for houses and stuff but my mum decided she wanted to wait a few more years :) I wish you all the luck! I'll make sure i keep in contact on my recovery through this site ;)

hey aaron

erm well it wasnt easy mate there was times i did want to do silly things to myself believe me but i got through that with good friends which are now like my brothers. haha thats all i did was play my ps3 i find xbox's really boring. thats the best cure when you cant really move of the bed, well i couldnt for three weeks so i was just watching constant movies and games i like to do alot of downloading of torrent sites. if your a fbooker ya can add me on there if ya want. real name is neil roscoe. i have the same pic as on here.
hope to hear again soon with your recover take care pal

Hi Zilla7777 I'm in Melbourne and yes Australia is a great place to live.

All stay well.

Ah nice, I'm in Melbourne too. Pretty warm day today! Personally I prefer Adelaide as a place to live and for the weather. But Melbourne has an awesome city and good work opportunities. Sucks that there aren't any decent beaches in VIC though.

haha zilla any beach is better than the ones we have here. got to say i could spend alot of time on frankston beach tho

Also, one thing you need to try here, if you havent already is Haigh's chocolates. If it goes alright with your digestive system of course!
