Did you develop a post op hernia?

Have you ever developed a hernia following abdominal surgery?

I know many of you have had multiple surgeries so you have the option of multiple responses.

Dusty.

I'm going with the other, because mine was never diagnosed. After my last surgery, I had occasional times under abdominal stress (exercise), that I had a "popping" feeling happen where the stoma had been. There was a large, very hard bump visible, and it was really painful. It reduced with a little pressure, but thought I might have needed a trip to the hospital if it lasted longer. Haven't had it back for several years though, so I think I have tightened up my abs a little.

Got me a nice golf ball sized hernia just above my belly button. Just what I needed!

I have two ventral hernias and it really sucks. The one near my belly button is the size of a golf ball and grosses me out. I have one that's higher and not as big. I won't be able to get them fixed until I have another resection and I'm not having another resection unless I'm dying.
