Help Finding Samples

Hello Everyone--11 days and counting until abdominoperineal surgery. Okay, obviously I have no clue what ostomy appliance I will be using, but I wondered if anyone had numbers that I could call ahead of time to obtain free samples? I am not sure of all of the brands available, and what better people to ask! From what I gather, it will be trial and error for a bit. I am trying to get everything in order prior to surgery, so I can go under the knife with as few worries as possible. Had an appointment with the surgeon yesterday, said I would be in the hospital about a week. Just ready to get it over with! I so appreciate everyone @ this site--you are all so wonderful, educated, and understanding. Thanks!!!!!

Snap, I hope you have a stoma nurse? You will need one!

Your stoma will shrink for the first couple months, so dont order a pre cut wafer from any of the supply companies. Then again, I expect they will tell you that as well.
