Comfort Zone.

To me this site is very very 1 of the best thing's i have discoverd,
it felt like to me that i was the odd one out in my town, i have never met anybody with CD here, and now i have relised that a whole bunch of people are in the same boat as me, and im very very looking to make freind's with the same condition, because i dont really socialise that much because i get quite embarresed about it, it will most likely take about 1 hour to exsplain to somebody what crohn's is, so i just dont tell them unless they understand what it is, because the word disease does not sound nice one bit, if i did mention that it would most likely scare them away thinking that there going to catch it or something.

We agree Scott, I only wish PC's were around over 20 years ago when I was going through hell and no one seem to have had it. There has been an abundance of UK crohnies here alot lately. So I am sure you are bound to meet more people here. Unless you go to a Crohns meeting you wont find other crohnies.

It certainly isnt campus or bar talk . As for awareness we are trying to spread the word and it is happening. I have actually told some one I had Crohns and they actually took a step back! YOU have to laugh because it isnt worth getting upset. We as humans dont know the symptoms of all diseases alike.

I am sure you are going to feel welcome here, we are a crazy bunch and love a laugh or two! Good luck.

Oh dear it must of been hard to find people who had the same illness that long ago,
because like i said i dont like telling anyone about it and that's how it must of been then, exsplaining your illness face 2 face is so much harder than talking about it on here.

yeah it most deffantly isn't a bar talk with a pint, but from now on i feel like a rabbit with all the salad's i eat, no spicey food and no greasy food, becuase that does make it worst for me.

but much appreciated for your advise and exspearince, we got load's of talk's and storys to share my CROHNIES :)

Hi Scott, and welcome!

I think in another thread, you mentioned that your Crohn's was found in your cheek? Have you had any bowel issues at all? How is the methotrexate working out for you?

I'm glad you found us, too. I totally agree that this forum is one of the best things out there. I feel at home here, and I hope you will too.

Well I'm happy for you that the meds are working. Perhaps, if you're so tired, you could have a vitamin deficiency? Have you asked your doctor to check your vitamin levels?
