Hello Martina and welcome to the forum, am glad you have decided to join :) When you say what type do mean where in the bowel it is located or whether it is crohns or ulcerative colitis that you have? Are you on any meds at the moment or is that also something that will get discussed when you next go to see the GI?

it Crohn's but i do have a family history of both, i am getting a colonspy(sp) in 2013 (as this is the earlist they can do it), i am on no meds right now, he doing the testing to confirm the dx again as i am from ontario and i live in BC. I am scared as i am in pain and watery stool and the other systom, its worse when i am scared or nerved up

Are you not able to get your medical records transferred over to your new doc so you don't have to wait for the scope? Have you previously been on any meds for your crohns?

I am not sure how things work over there but is your doc not able to arrange for other tests to be done or at least get you on some treatment? Why didn't your previous doc not sort any meds for you?

I am not sure why he don't get me any meds, also he said to change what i ate and loss some weight ( i am 242lbs so i am overweight) i was told the reason they couldn't tranfer my file is it was from ontario Canada, and they don't accept it over here in British columbia Canada, that what i got told
I had a Upper GI test done. haven't got the results yet, and i don't see the GI specialist till August 19 and he on hoilday as i tried for a earlier appointment, i may complain to my doctor about this.

I agree with the others, you really need to have a colonoscopy MUCH sooner. Don't let them tell you know, do what it takes to get in sooner. 2013 is absurd.

Welcome to the forum by the way :)

there is a wait list here for Colonscopy i cannot get it sooner i give the GI shit when he told me 2013, i know i need it sooner but British Columbia Canada health care system sucks big time

thanks for the welcome
