Yes every single time. When people come to our house they make fun of us because we even have a gallon size hand sanitizer on the sink for those who visit who don't wash that way they can just use a little and go.

I don't like hand sanitizer - and I'll tell you why.
It "kills" the germs on your hands, but then you have dead germs on your hands. I want those germs OFF of my hands, and rinsed down the drain.
Especially at school, some teachers take their whole class to the hall bathrooms, and then give each kid a squirt. They just rub it in. No rinsing. If some kid went poop, and they got some on their hands, isn't there still some poop there? Dead poop - but poop none the less??
Ewww!
That's like the e coli they find in hamburger meat - "It's okay to eat cow poop in your hamburgers, you just have to cook it to the right temperature." EWWW!!!

I always wash and then use the hand sanitizer just a little extra protection. We have the hand sanitizer because when my husbands friends are over for football I'll take any little bit that I can get. Unfortunately I can't control what they're doing in there so I give them as many options as I can as a little push to do the right thing.

Husband's friends. 'Nuff said!
A fraction of a pinky getting clean would be more than I could hope for . And THEY actually touch "it". At least we girls have a toilet paper barrier!

I always wash my hands no matter what I do. I especially like the foam soap. It's so gross when people go number two and don't wash. At least number one for a guy is just touching skin but number two is a whole different ballgame. I don't want people to think I'm a grode so I always wash for 20-30 seconds.

I carry hand sanitizer in my pocket at almost all times after an experience with a drunk hobo in D.C.

I think you're supposed to sing the birthday song twice while washing your hands to get them completely clean... I wash every single time. I also carry hand sanitizer with me too, in case I need to clean my hands and don't have access to a sink. Whenever I use it in class I give some to all my friends too, because they aren't germophobic like I am! When I took biology, we took samples from the inside door handles of the girls and boys bathrooms. Guess which grew more bacteria in the petri dish? Boys, by a LONG shot!

I once knew a guy who was so proud of his "old chap" that he swore he washed his hands BEFORE he had a pee!

Men's bathrooms are disgusting. I don't even feel clean after washing my hands in them. First thing I do when I get home is wash my hands. I consciously try to remember not to touch my face all day for fear that my hands are full of germs. I hate buses, stair railings and pretty much anything else where I end up touching things that I know a lot of other people are touching.

over washing can be as bad as not washing, if you constantly washing, you are washing away "good germs" as well as all the bad ones. sharon xx
