Big announcement!!

Ahem, my ds as you all say walked from the bathroom this morning with a grin on his face. I asked what's up and he said….drumroll please…."I found my first pube"!! Then he added, " I named it Carlos"! Ahahahahahaha!!! 13 years and almost 6 months, he's so proud of his pube!!! He's sitting beside me as I type this…if only he knew!!

DX - June 2012 with mild/moderate Crohns. In July 2012 bowel perforated unexpectedly and needed emergency surgery.
Current meds/supplements - Budesonide (reducing dose over 3 months), B12 injections (every 10 wks), Vit D tabs 800iu x daily, Ferrous Sulphate 200mg every day, Folic Acid once a week
Previous meds - Allergic to Azathioprine, 6MP, Pentasa & Asacol, Methotrexate injections (didn't work). Stopped Humira after 2 years due to ineffectiveness.

Devynn (12 years old) was *unoficially* diagnosed with Crohn's disease in Dec 2009.
That diagnosis was changed to Ulcerative Colitis in Mar 2012.
Pentasa ASA Dec 2009-Mar 2012 (dosage tweaked a couple of times)

Dusty, I thought about hiding it there but then I thought you'd call me a coward or something so I thought what the hell…

CeeCeeGo, I told him it'd be no time they'll be growing off his back and shoulders and soon enough on top of his ears etc. etc….

Tried:Azathioprine,Pred,Pentasa,Cimzia Bi weekly & MTX 9/2013 to 8/2014, Humira 1/2011-9/2013, w/oral mtx 5 mos in 2013. Remicade: Had allergic reaction Jan 2011 Built up antibodies by 3rd infusion.
Has done round of Flagyl due to abcess 12/10 and 10-21-13 which helped both heal quickly.

Well since we're sharing. I went through almost the same thing with Hunter last year. He had two - Alex and Collin. Boys! Anyway, prepare yourself Dex, one day Carlos may fall out as Alex did. Nothing, and I mean nothing, quite as funny as maintaining a serious look on your face while a downtrodden 13yr old bemoans his missing pube.

I can't speak for Hunter, but yes, EJ is warped!! J, EJ is in the middle school play this week-end. They are doing "The Little Mermaid". EJ is the chef. It's the only part he wanted because he gets to sing about chopping off the fish heads. He, and according to him, all the girls, thinks he's great!! I can't wait! He definitely does not have any deficiency in confidence!!

Sounds like a great kid! Hysterical that he is so proud! Mine is 15 and while I am sure they are there, I would have never gotten that announcement from my shy guy!
