Red Skin Rash Sensitive to the touch

Anyone have any experience with a red skin rash that is painful to the touch and MTX? Wondering if there is any OTC cream or treatment that will help.

Hi
It might be a good idea to check in with your doctor.
It might be a drug reaction but could also be some kind of infection.
I would not suggest putting anything on it till its checked out.
Could be a virus like shingles. in which case the sooner you get treated the better the outcome for you.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

we called the GI and he doesn't think its Methotrexate. He suggested Benadryl and if it doesn't get better go to the pediatrician. finger crossed this resolves on its own.

Our neighbor who is an RN stopped by to take a look and suggested in looked like some sort of bug bite on the bicep that was causing the rash ... not sure about it but trying the benadryl with no luck so far. calling the pediatrician in the morning.
