Is ok to take collagen supplements?

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to take collagen supplements ?

I've never taken them and I can't definitively promise that they are 'ok' as I'm not a doctor or a chemist but my understanding is that they are beneficial to gut health and gut healing.

Bone broth would be a natural alternative to collagen powder or pills. Personally I'd rather have the bone broth, I'm drinking some right now, as it has other benefits and tastes pretty darn good.

As mentioned above, broth is a terrific source of nutrition - including collagen.

Here is an example recipe from Joseph Brasco MD. (Although the chicken feet are a no go for me)
