30 year old suffering for 12 years

I'm new here and would like to introduce myself. I'm josh and I have been suffering from crohns and diverticulosis for 12 years. I started with ulcers and fissures at 18. This crohns and the rest cost me a military and law enforcement career. Now I'm 30 with 2 kids a wife and lots of meds. I still struggle with scar tissue pain at times.

Hi Josh sorry to hear the disease has taken a toll on your life. Are you on any maintenance therapy?

I don't know much about Diverticulitis but how can they differentiate that from general Crohn's?
