Cool Mind playing tricks on you days before surgery??

Hi there,

I am heading into surgery tomorrow morning. my 1st Crohn's related surgery. Either going to be a strictureplasty or resection. Anyway, has anyone else actually felt great days before surgery???

All weekend I'm starting to think I don't need to do it? Is this normal??

Yes... ha, ha...!!!!

The mind is a wonderful thing.

I had surgery before Christmas, but I felt like a fraud. I was feeling great for about 3 days before.
But knew I was on a Pred/flagyl cycle, so it wouldn't have lasted long.

Good luck tomorrow.

Erin - I haven't had any Crohn's-related surgery, so I can't answer that question, but I just wanted to wish you lots of luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes when you are able.

Felt the same before my surgery last year, I felt like it was being forced on me - I didn't really think I needed it. But I did. I thought there were only two strictures going in. Turns out there were 7 and extensive adhesions. My advice is if the doctor says you need it, then you probably do.

Good luck with it all, hope it's only a stirctureplasty. Let us know how you go.
