My Support Groups:
Gastro-Stop dosage

I had surgery on 29 October to reverse my previous ostomy and reconnect my colon. Was discharged from hospital on November 4th, and the discharge nurse cautioned me about taking more than one gastro-stop (loperamide) a day after surgery. Since then have been taking one gastro-stop capsule in the morning only.

Yesterday I had a horror day, sitting on the toilet most of the morning with continual loose bm's. And now again today it looks like I'm in for a similar day. Completely exhausting.

My surgeon and GP are not contactable, would it be safe for me to take one more gastro-stop capsule (Loperamide) ?

Thanks in advance,
Gra
