Hi mick,
I had the same a year ago, it hurts like hell for a long time, well it did me. Is the pain you have the same crohns pain or surgical pain? There is a massive difference and if its surgical type pain then you need to allow a good 8 to 12 weeks to heal. If its crohns pain, get back to your docs to discuss possible meds to get it under control. Good luck
