Exercising and other physical limits of setons?

Hi! So at my last CR appointment, my surgeon informed me that I needed to wait 6 more months before getting advancement flap surgery to close my fistulas. So that means I am stuck with these 3 setons for at least 6 more months. He told me that my case is rare, and he only sees 2 or 3 cases like mine per year. He also told me I can go back to my regularly scheduled life (psh yah right). So my question is, are you guys with setons able to work out? Like lift weights and go running and all of that? Im scared to because I don't want to hurt myself. I still have pressure in that area after a BM, which gradually gets less and less as the day goes on. So by afternoon and night, I'm feeling as normal as possible. Just curious about other peoples limitations. He also said I could go swimming, and go in the ocean, and go on motorcycles and get pregnant and anything I want to. Is there anything that your surgeons told you you should not do with setons in? Thanks in advance guys! Hope you are all are hanging in there!

I couldn't do any intense exercising with my seton. Walking was good, and swimming. Swimming was great, actually. I also did some low-resistance arm exercises. I know some people do running and biking and such, but I found it to be way too painful.

Mine have settled down quite a bit, and i think I could exercise if I wanted to. Just lazy!

About swimming, though - was going to take my daughter to the pool but I do still have small amounts of unpredictable draining. Sort of gross in a public pool...

I've had a seton in for about a year and a half. It bugs the hell out of me all the time but exercise in general doesn't usually make it any worse. I went swimming in the ocean a few times and had no problems. I also do weight lifting and the first few months squats were off the table but now I can do them as well.

See how bodyweight squats feel and go from there.
