They also shot parts of the movie "Traffic" in Columbus, OH, where I live now.

*Wonders why I've never been an extra?*

Well there's a guy in Sunbury, Ohio trying to become a published author. I'll keep you posted on whether that guy makes it.

We've got Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Lou Graham (Foreigner), and Taye Diggs.
Hoff went to my high school and Diggs went to the district that I teach in now.
And we have Teddy Geiger. God help you if you actually know who that is, but I do have one of his songs on my ipod.
Oh, and we have Arthur Shawcross, famous serial killer.

LOL@Kim.

I went to school with Lewis Geter, who once played for the New York Knicks. Don't know if he's still active anywhere. Marilyn Manson was born in Canton, Ohio.

oh, and I got to ride the Batmobile to school back in middle school. Not something I tend to brag about.

I would brag about riding in the Batmobile. Even if I could ride in it now!

A turbine powered car would be awesome.

I'm from New Orleans so all of the New Orleans blues and jazz artists from there, Mardi Gras, snowballs, the list goes on.

Then I moved to Farmington, CT where 50 cent lived and had one of his huge house parties which was on MTV. Before he lived there Mike Tyson owned the home.

Now I live in Huntsville, AL and I don't know how many famous people are from here but I doubt many unless they are renown in the rocket science business.lol

Oh that's cute congrats on your win!

And hell yeah about New Orleans...a jazzfest and two mardi gras, best time ever. I now have no friends there anymore to stay with so my N.O. luck has run out. When i'm rich...

I may be wrong, but doesn't Anne Rice the author live there?
She writes about it all the time.

The only famous person from my village has been dead for over 140 years....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnes_Elizabeth_Jones

She trained with Florence Nightingale as a nurse and set up a hospital for the poor in Liverpool.
I can see her house when I look out my front window.

Yeah, Anne Rice lives in New Orleans. She was throwing a huge Halloween party while I was down there a number of years ago, but you needed to get reservations to go like a year in advance, so we weren't there. Still, there's quite a bit to do down there during Halloween anyway. It's much like Mardi Gras during Halloween.

I've read most (if not all) of her books. Most of them when I was younger.

She had a great book a few years ago about the early life of Jesus. I'm not sure if she followed this one up with another chapter. I haven't seen any in the bookshop.

I love her discriptions of historical events, I suppose she turned me onto my love of Historical novels.
