My medication

Hi all I was given salofalk 500mg 4 pills 2 times daily by the doctor. I was wondering if anyone else has had to use this medication and if they know if it has any bad side effects I should be on the look out for.

Salofalk is one of the 5-aminosalicylic acid (mesalamine) drugs. The one I took is called Asacol. Different brand names.

It made me a little dizzy when I first took it, or when my dosage went up. After a few days the dizziness went away.

Hope Salofalk helps you!

Squeals-a-lot!
I have taken sulfasalazine, asacol, and pentasa, which are all in the same family. I didn't have any side effects that I can note. Good luck with it!
For sure read the insert that came with the med though.
