Fresh off a Colonoscopy this afternoon and after finding more inflammation in my descending colon my Dr prescribed Rowasa enema's to add to my bedtime enjoyment. I haven't picked up the script yet but will this weekend; anyone out there with experience with these enemas? Is there leakage in bed?
Inquiring minds!! -Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I just joined this forum and searched Rowasa. Found your post-- now a bit old. I was just prescribed Rowasa. Within a day or two I noticed I wasn't going to teh bathroom as much. less gas, less urgency, less diarrhea, and it seems like less blood. I'm passing blood less frequently, but when I do it's seems like there is more and it is very dark and clotted. Before it was always red (I have UC or Crohn's in lower colon. I was diagnosed Crohns back in mid 90's and now they are saying UC. Go figure). So, I'm not sure if the Rowasa is helping me to bleed less, or just calming down my colon so I'm passing the blood less frequently and it's sitting in there getting dark and clotted. What was your experience with the enemas? Alli |
