Remicade Question

Hey all.

I have my first Remicade infusion today. Yay! However, it also happens to be the first day of that time of the month and I'm in a quite a bit of a pain due to cramping. Can I take a painkiller or will that cause issues with the infusion?

I'm looking at possibly going on this treatment, I'm already on fioricet for tension headaches..it's butalbital, acetaminophen, caffeine....wonder if that would be a problem with it. My GI didn't say a thing about it, but he's more pushing more for me to have surgery.....I'd LOVE a drug that actually put me into remission without having to have surgery.
