Fistula healing time after seton removal?

Was wondering what your healing time was for a fistula after the seton was removed. This is without any lift or flap surgeries. Did it do okay, or did it get reinfected, not close. Etc? How long did it take for the fistula to close on its own? Thank you!

I personally have not been lucky enough to get to a point where the seton has been removed to heal. However my cousin had his elastic band seton fall apart and come out and the hole miraculously healed up within about five weeks. By the time he went back to the surgeon for his appointment they said it was healed up and he would be okay. That was over a year ago now and he has no further problems.
