Hi All
I am having a reaction (i think) to the Remicadee.. i get infusions every 6 weeks and take Imuran 100 MG a day.
One day after my last infusion my hands started really hurting.. and i could see dark red spots on both my palms.. they ached... and then the skin started peeling off, it really hurt for about 4 days.. then it subsided.. and now i am left with just the peeling skin but it doesn’t hurt anymore, its just super annoying.
I asked my gastro, and he said call a dermatologist. I don’t want to go to yet another specialist if I don’t have to (they are expensive)
I have dealt with a lot of side effects some really strange but this is a first for me. I don’t know if this is common or rare or if maybe it really doesn’t have anything to do with the infusion and its just coincidence.. but I find that hard to believe.
Have any of you had this experience? Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
Gina

I had to go to the dermatologist for a different reaction to Remicade. I had a lesion that didn't respond to antibiotics.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have no experience either with what you're describing, and I hope that someone will be able to help you with this.

Sending you prayers.
