Got a hold of pathology report...

Can anyone please help me make sense of it? I got my colonoscopy/endoscopy done back in July of 2015, so I personally think I should probably have another one done due to all the added on problems I've been having but... I finally got a hold of the pathology report, and one part from it is bugging me because I don't know what it means.

It mentions that my small instestine has mixed inflammatory infiltrate of lamina propria. This was also noted again, saying large instestinal type mucosa having mixed inflammatory infiltrate of lamina propria.

I haven't gotten answers from any doctors yet, except my primary care is thinking that it has something to do with Celiac, Crohn's, or H pylori. I'd been checked for H pylori before, can't remember when, but I'm going to be checked again on Monday.

Any type of comments or any advice on this is helpful! I just wanted to know your input-- if anyone had a pathology report similar. I don't know if this is important, but I also had the scopes done when my stomach problems were just starting to worsen... they're at their worst now. Thank you for reading!

My Support Groups:
The "lamina propria" is the lower layer of tissue that makes up the mucosa or inner lining of the intestine. "Inflammatory infiltrate" means that there were white blood cells observed there that were part of the inflammation.

So this basically means that there is an inflammatory response going on in your gut that was visible to the pathologist upon histological examination of a tissue specimen.

I suggest you carefully discuss this result with your doctor.
