Azathioprine- my cold won't go away!

Hi,

I have had a cold for two weeks, coughing, mucus and runny nose. It just won't clear! I am exercising, taking Vit C, juicing, no sugar, eating healthy. I understand that the azathioprine makes your immune system shit but is there anything else I can do?? I'm over it!

My Support Groups:
Have you told your Gi ?
Aza doesn't make you more likely to get a cold only opportunistic infection ( think pneumonia when you contract the flu )
But since your body is constantly fighting inflammation it takes crohns patients longer to get over viruses etc because their bodies are already busy daily just trying to keep up .
Ds was dx at age 7 and did not have more minor illnesses ( cold coughs etc) in fact I think he had less than my other kiddo through all of 2nd to 6 th grade ( elementary school ) which is full of kid germs while on 6-mp, Mtx, remicade and now humira plus Mtx

If it's been a while please check in with a doc in case something other than a cold is going on
