Microorganisms in tap water increasing symptoms? Try irradiated water.

I recently had an increase in symptoms and tried to explain where I may have been infected by something in my environment, after testing a few ideas I considered the water supply so I tested it by finally switching over to a filtered water from It was a glacier water dispenser at my local grocery store which claims to be irradiated with an ultraviolet light and therefore has no bacteria or other organisms in it. After switching to supposedly bacteria free water all the increased ibd symptoms have now decreased to where they were before. Give it a shot.

I use a water filter pitcher. There are a lot of theories as to municipal water sources being a potential cause/trigger of IBS/IBD; specifically micro-organisms(like MAP), Chlorine, fluorine, high iron, etc.

Totally aware of this MAP is has been found in tap water but there are probably a few other organism's that could increase symptoms. I was always planning on making the switch from a brita water filter to spring water(no tap source), but my recent experience kind of forced me to make it a priority, now obviously it was a good idea to begin with. Glad I learned glacier water was UV irradiated to kill microorganisms, it's much cheaper then spring water like 3x cheaper.

just a small article supporting the idea that micro organisms do survive standard water treatment processes, so its reasonable to believe killing them off with further UV treatments could eliminate them and possibly protect us from gi infections which may increase ibd symptoms.
