Default uk cronnies, hows the flooding?

well how has the flooding affected you?
we, on the south coast, have had many roads inpassable, and the river at the bottom of my road is threating to break its banks. but this has been nothing compared to the guys in cocklemouth and workington.

Hi Merry, it is Pen, you are back??

Anyways I read about the flooding over the pond, so bad they were in motor boats going thru the streets.

At the same time our West Coast Victoria, BC was flooded as well, the worst they had ever seen. I just feel bad for anyone who has to endure that misery.

It was a bit windy last night. Today it just rained. This area is pretty well protected though. Surrounded by big cities and mountains, so it all gets dumped there.

Had a lot of wind and rain here. But we always have a lot of wind and rain... I suppose it's been worse than usual!
We've got a river in front of the house and a canal behind the house, but we're so high up that the whole of the countryside for miles around would have to be submerged before the water reached the front door (hope I don't regret saying that!)
Can't imagine what it's like for people who have been flooded out... it's absolutley awful. I have some in-laws in Cumbria. they are OK but having problems with travelling as so many bridges have been damaged or washed away

The planet is so confused with too much rain in one place and heatwaves in others! I hope the fires don't get out of control this year Jed. It's been pretty rough in Oz on that front recently eh?
