Tincture of Opium problem

Hello all.
I am a 65 yo woman with Crohn's since 1985. Currently taking Tincture of Opium to control diarrhea.
I am going on Medicare next month, and have been told that Medicare Part D and my prescription supplement will not cover the Opium. Is there anyone receiving help with the cost? I also inject 400mg of Cimzia every month, and get financial help through Cimplicity.

The Opium is a real life-saver, and has allowed me some semblance of normalcy.

Have you tried a small home town pharmacy that compounds medications? It's the same stuff but extremely cheaper. My insurance wouldn't cover opium but my pharmacist made it in his lab for very cheap. I don't know much about Medicare. Sorry.
