• Welcome to Crohn's Forum, a support group for people with all forms of IBD. While this community is not a substitute for doctor's advice and we cannot treat or diagnose, we find being able to communicate with others who have IBD is invaluable as we navigate our struggles and celebrate our successes. We invite you to join us.

Sad Situation

My son and my story. We both have Crohn's and live in Louisiana. He has it way worse, but I have had a surgery for a fisher. We both smoke weed to help with the symptoms. Well he is now serving 5 years in prison for his 3 times with weed. Now I am looking at 20 years for the same thing. How is that helping. Louisiana does have Crohn's listed as one that would qualify for medical, but still does not have the law in place. It is messed up here.

I have to agree that there are a lot of badly written laws that only impose misery and promote crime. Medical cannabis has been made legal in Canada, and last year I got approved. It helps me in moderation.
