Inflammation VS flare ?

Hi everyone,

I recently had a CT scan that showed some inflammation in my ileum. I was diagnosed with Crohns 8 years ago and have been on Humira. If there is inflammation does that mean I'm in a flare?

Thank you

Flare is not a completely precise term. It basically means a worsening of your disease. Have your symptoms recently gotten worse? If your symptoms got worse and you show signs of inflammation then the answer is probably yes, you are suffering a flare. But if your symptoms are the same as ever and the inflammation has kind of been there all along, then you really aren't; suffering a flare. You just have a more or less stable low level of disease.
