I have heard of people using it specifically for IBD.

I have had great experiences with it, always have a bottle on hand, and love the stuff.

But the experiences are not related to IBD. Although I am in remission, so it may be helping me.

I use it for things like:

Tick, flea & insect bites
Gingivitis, gum disease & tooth ache
Athletes foot
Candida-overgrowth
Immunity
Colds & flu

For more information, have a read of the book "The Cure is in the Cupboard", By Dr Cass Ingram

Just make sure you buy a good quality one, with a carvacrol content of 80%.

How were you thinking of using it

I was thinking of drinking it diluted in water.

Well that will work.

Although it is bloody disgusting and almost unbearable to drink

A capsule would probably be better for you.

This is the one I occasionally take:

Capsules taste a LOT better

Also start off slowly and a low dose, as they are very potent.

And where did you get this idea from? Something you read?

I would also speak with a professional herbalist or naturopath before proceeding. As OOO is very strong (must be taken diluted). They will probably suggest other methods to be combined. Also OOO is very detoxing and can sometimes seem to make your symptoms worse. Make sure you only use food grade supplement OOO, as some of it (especially in USA) is made for external use only as an essential oil.
