There is a gap between my stoma and skin, is it serious?

Hi.

So I had a total colectomy 3 years ago and I changed my bag this morning when I noticed there was a gap between the skin and the stoma. It was bleeding quite badly and it felt slightly out of place. I have been feeling stressed these past couple of weeks and I have been feeling tired and like I usually am during a flare up. But, should I be worried about it?

It would be best to call your doctor, this doesn't sound normal.
